*Program Mission:
"The Radiographer program provides educational opportunities for students to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes conducive to the challenges within the field of radiography. Experiences prepare students in a variety of settings to practice effectively with clients with diverse health needs."

Program Objectives:
Graduates will develop knowledge and skills necessary to function as a competent entry-level radiographer. Graduates will provide sound problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking skills necessary to function effectively as part of the radiographic healthcare team. The graduate will demonstrate good professional behaviors and ethics, which promotes professional development. To provide skilled qualified radiographers to meet the needs of the healthcare community.

STATE LICENSURE/REGISTRATION INFORMATION
In Pennsylvania, radiographers must be either certified through ARRT to perform radiologic procedures or pass the ARRT certification exam offered through the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine (State Board) in order to practice in the state. While passage of the ARRT certification exam through the State Board will enable the graduate to practice in Pennsylvania, the graduate may not be able to practice in other states. Licensure/registration requirements are controlled by the states and are subject to change without notice. SBI cannot guarantee that graduates will be eligible to work as radiographers without ARRT certification, at all or at any specific time, regardless of their eligibility status upon enrollment.
